Hobsons Bay Traders will put $900 back in the pockets of four shoppers in their own stimulus package aimed at boosting retail activity.

Altona, Laverton, Newport and Williamstown traders associations have joined to offer $900 prizes to four winners who spend $900 in any retail shop or business between the 28^th April 2009 and June 30^th 2009.

Shoppers must make purchases in Hobsons Bay to be eligible and keep their receipts totaling $900.00.  You can enter as many times as you wish in multiples of $900.00.

Altona Village Traders Association President said small businesses were struggling and we just want to stimulate economic growth in the old fashioned shopping strips.

We want people to spend in Hobsons Bay , so keep your dockets from the Petrol Station, Hairdresser, Fruit and Butcher Shops, Cafes and Restaurants and enter them into the draw.

Gellibrand federal Labor MP Nicola Roxon praised the Traders for creating their own version of the Rudd Governments stimulus package.
