I (Cheryle) was 16 years old when I set up my own hairdressing salon.  46 years later I am still going strong and Cheryles Shoppe is one of the oldest businesses in Pier Street Altona.

Running my shop is not like work and that is why I have stayed open so long.

We do a professional job and that’s why people keep coming back.  I enjoy meeting my customers and every day something amazing happens, and it makes for a happy life.

I don’t do it just for the money.  If you see your customers only as a dollar sign you might as well give it away!
