Altona Hockey Club
|

Altona Hockey Club was established over 70 years ago in 1932. Over this period it has maintained a strong sporting presence in Altona and now encompasses the broader Hobson's Bay Community. This is seen particularly in our junior club with players representing over 30 different regional schools.
As a sport it is one of a few that is able to offer full family participation, with teams for men, women, boys and girls and open to all age groups from Minkey through to Open Age and Veteran players. Some parents and partners, after watching their family members play, have picked up a hockey stick for the first time and joined a senior or veteran team; just for the fun of playing.

Western Suburbs Triathalon Club

Based in Altona, and serving the whole community, The Western Suburbs Triathlon Club was formed in 1983. Affiliated with Triathlon Victoria since the club’s inception the membership base of the club has always been strong.
A number of ‘foundation members’ are still actively involved in the club and committee.The club’s season is broken down into two race series (6 triathlons in Summer & 6 Duathlons in Winter) with a novelty race (e.g handicap, teams, le-mans start etc) held in between each series. Each series carries points towards an overall standing. Trophies are awarded overall & in age categories for each gender. |
